Emily Siegel was a guest on Episode 40 of the Growing Our Family Parenting Podcast. I like to end each episode with a product recommendation from my guests for something that they personally LOVED during the first few years of parenting. Emily recommended the Fisher Price Sit-Me-Up Floor Seat.

What Emily has to say about the Fisher Price Sit-Me-Up Floor Seat:
“It’s what I buy everyone now when they are having a baby.
When I had my first everyone was into the Bumbo, but the fisher price sit-me-up floor seats are so much better. You can use them for so long, the kids are actually supported, and they are comfortable in there.
So now anytime I look at someone’s registry and the have the Bumbo, I’m like, ugh should I do it? Should I not? Should I be like, sorry I’m buying you this seat instead? So, I’m that person on your registry. I’m sorry.”
I have personally never used the Sit-Me-Up, but I did use the Bumbo and they are great for kids with skinnier legs. My son had chunky thighs and he grew out of the Bumbo very early. I will definitely be purchasing the Fisher Price seat for my next child.
They come in multiple designs on Amazon, some with a front tray and some without.
Some of the Pro’s I have discovered about the product:
- It folds flat, which makes it easy to store or take with you when you travel
- It’s easy to clean. The seat pad is removable and machine washable.
- It comes with attached toys.
I have seen some downsides stating that the seat isn’t great for large babies. If your child is on the higher end of the size chart, you might want to test it out first or make sure to get one with a return policy.
You can find it on Amazon here:
